About Emma

The Speech Service was initially created during a period of transition in Emma’s own clinical work, when she moved her focus from paediatrics to adults and wanted to maintain the paediatric skills she had developed. Over time, Emma chose to focus fully on her adult caseload; however, paediatric enquiries continued to come through.

Emma recognised that the infrastructure and systems were already in place, and that by working with other like-minded speech and language therapists, The Speech Service could continue to support children and their families in a thoughtful, ethical and evidence-based way.

The Speech Service now has both adult and paediatric therapists. The service continues to grow, and we are always keen to hear from kind, reflective and evidence-based SLTs who are interested in flexible private work within a supportive service.

Emma will review submissions and invite suitable therapists for an informal, no-pressure chat.
Many therapists start with a small caseload and build from there.
